The award-winning Scots singer-songwriter known for catchy, relatable pop songs, will perform a live outdoor show on Friday, August 12 next year, at the Northern Meeting Park, Inverness.

Having sold over six million albums, had four top five studio albums, two of which hit the UK number one, the popular acoustic guitar playing indie-rocker, spoke of her excitement to be heading to Inverness next summer.

Amy Macdonald said: “I cannot wait to get back on the stage and share my songs old and new with my fans in the north of Scotland.

“It’s been a long time coming, so I promise to put everything into this show, and make it a night to remember.

“My band and I have put together an incredible live show this time around and honestly it’s never been better, so come and join us!”

The singer with the distinctively raw voice, who says Glasgow band, Travis, is her biggest influence, promises an amazing summer evening of live music, which will feature some of her favourite hits, including This Is The Life, Fire, The Hudson and Mr Rock And Roll.

Songs from her latest album The Human Demand will make the set list too.

Amy Macdonald’s North show is being organised by Inverness-based concert promoter, LCC Live.

It will be part of its Live In The City series of summer 2022 events.

Claire Kidger, director of LCC live, welcomed the news.

She said: “We’re thrilled that Amy Macdonald is to perform in Inverness next August.

“She’s such a talented artist, with an amazing voice and not surprisingly has a huge following.

“Her sold out show at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow this month is testament to that.

“We really can’t wait to welcome Amy to Northern Meeting Park – it will be a great night, and we’d love it you could join us!”

Tickets for Amy Macdonald at Northern Meeting Park go on sale at 9am on Friday (December 10) from www.lcclive.co.uk and www.ticketline.co.uk or from Cafferys Menswear in Eastgate Shopping Centre, Inverness.
