Highland woman’s antisocial behaviour in Inverness pubs adds extra expense to her drinking session

Staff at an Inverness city centre pub ejected a disruptive customer who was shouting and swearing and then a glass was smashed when she punched a table.

But 53-year-old Morgan Williamson of Lewiston, near Drumnadrochit continued her antisocial behaviour when she returned to No 27 in Castle Street on the afternoon of October 25 last year.

Inverness Sheriff Court heard that when Williamson moved away to the High Street, she was responsible for another disturbance and police arrived to deal with her, fiscal depute Anna Boyle said.

Defending, Graham Man told Sheriff Eilidh Macdonald: "She is embarrassed by her appearance in court. She does not ordinarily drink at all but was with someone who did."

Fining her £240, Sheriff Macdonald said: "I am prepared to accept this was out of character and treat it as a one-off incident."
