Eastgate Inverness suffers another blow as Lakeland to close its store in the shopping centre after 10 years
It has been confirmed that a national store is set to leave the Eastgate Centre, just a day after it was announced that its food court is also closing.
Lakeland is closing its doors after 10 years in the city centre’s main shopping centre.
The homeware and food appliance store currently sits in the ground floor.
Chris Kershaw, Eastgate manager said: “It is a disappointment to be losing Lakeland from the centre in the coming months. They have been a huge part of the centre for over ten years and will be greatly missed in the city.”
A date is not confirmed for the closure but there are rumours the outlet will open elsewhere in Inverness.
Loch & Larder is also closing just two years after it opened, which was run by food service provider Aramark UK after a £2 million investment.
Lakeland has been contacted for comment.
