Whisky enthusiasts will have plenty to savour this summer as the Scottish National Whisky Festival makes its return to Inverness on Saturday, July 5.

Now firmly established as a key date in the city’s events calendar, the celebration will be held hot on the heels of the festival’s biggest ever event in Glasgow earlier this year – hailed as one of the largest whisky showcases in the country to date.

This year’s Inverness leg, hosted at Eden Court from midday to 4pm, follows that momentum as it aims to give festival-goers the opportunity to sample hundreds of incredible whiskies from world-renowned distilleries and esteemed independent bottlers – from old school gems to Islay powerhouses to lesser-known producers.

A full list of exhibitors will be confirmed ahead of the event.

Alongside the whisky tastings, the festival will feature a programme of live music from Scottish artists and a dedicated whisky shop where visitors can pick up bottles to take home, including exclusive festival editions – courtesy of the Scottish National Whisky Festival’s expert partner retailers.

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased via scottishnationalwhiskyfestival.com.

In a statement, organisers said: “We are excited to be returning to the Highlands for another fantastic day in Inverness this summer.

“It’s always a highlight for us and we are eager to show you all what we have been working on this year, which is proving to be the festival's biggest to date! See you in July!”
