An end to Longman Roundabout hell in Inverness?

THIS is the bold vision to ease traffic congestion at a notorious Inverness bottleneck – and now the public can have a say on the plan.

The Longman Roundabout, connecting the A9 and A82 near the Kessock Bridge, is one of the city’s busiest roundabouts and the scene of frequent tailbacks at peak times.

Following a public consultation last year on five possible options aimed at improving traffic flow, the Scottish Government agency Transport Scotland has now put forward its choice.

People are being invited to scrutinise the plans at exhibitions at the Caledonian Stadium from noon-7pm today and at Inverness Town House from noon-7pm tomorrow.
