Almost 100 new confirmed coronavirus cases in NHS Highland area

There have been 97 additional confirmed coronavirus cases in the NHS Highland area in the past 24 hours, new figures have shown.

The new cases take the tally for the NHS Highland area since the start of the pandemic to 2960.

Some 1865 people have tested positive across Scotland in the past 24 hours, taking the national total to 147,889.

And there have been 93 new reported deaths of people who have tested positive.

Elsewhere in the north, NHS Grampian had 199 new recorded cases in the past day, taking its tally to 9870.
