Inverness police are appealing for information following a theft from a vehicle parked in Rose Street.

A Toyota Hilux had a window smashed while parked on the ground floor of the two-deck car park sometime between yesterday evening and 11.30am today.

Alcohol was stolen from the vehicle.

Enquiries are ongoing and police are urging anyone who may have information to come forward.

Constable Jason Hasson of the city centre policing team said: "Incidents like this are fortunately very rare in Inverness city centre and we are working to identify whoever is responsible.

"I would urge anyone who may have seen any activity around Rose Street or the car park overnight to let us know, even if it didn't seem out of the ordinary at the time.

"You can contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 1233 of April 5, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
