Door staff at an Inverness pub were abused by a potential customer after he was refused entry to the premises because he was drunk.
Thomas Troup (46), of Lochiel Road, Inverness appeared before Sheriff Sara Matheson and admitted threatening and abusive behaviour outside the Market Bar, in Church Street, on July 7 last year.
Fiscal depute Sophie Marshall told Inverness Sheriff Court that Troup became confrontational and moved towards one of the security men who pushed him away.
Ms Marshall added: "There was a struggle and then police were called."
Defending, Marc Dickson said: "By the time police arrived he was entirely compliant. He wants to apologise."
Troup was fined £290.
