A9 restricted in both directions after crash near Aviemore

The A9 is currently restricted north of Aviemore after a collision near Aviemore.

Shortly after 1pm police and emergency services were called to the scene near the junction with the A95 at Garnish.

Firefighters were also in attendance, with one appliance sent to the scene. A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said they left the scene shortly before 2pm.

The road is still restricted in both directions and drivers are advised to use caution on approach.

Police Scotland has been contacted for information.
