The A9 was restricted outside Aviemore after a two-vehicle crash this afternoon but is now reported to be clear.

After the incident at 1.54pm Traffic Scotland advised motorists to use extra caution on approach to the A95 junction at Granish.

Both north and southbound traffic was affected.

Police Highland have just confirmed that the road is now clear in both directions.

There have been no confirmations of any injuries.

A spokesperson at Scottish Fire and Rescue Service HQ told the Courier the service was not asked to attend.
