A87 closed at Battle of Glen Shiel after two-vehicle collision

The A87 is closed in both directions due to a road traffic incident between Shiel Bridge and Glen Moriston.

Traffic Scotland announced that the road which connects Inverness to Skye was closed near the Battle of Glen Shiel site before 11am today.

The collision involved a van and a motorcycle.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The A87 is closed east of Shiel Bridge, following a road traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a van.

“Police were made aware around 10.15am this morning.

“Motorists are asked to avoid the area.”
