Commuters can take a later train out of the city, after ScotRail announced plans to reinstate a stop at Beauly station.

Saying it was "really pleased" to announce it was making the stop on the 18.33 Inverness to Wick service, the rail company has published its December timetable.

A post on ScotRail's Twitter account stated: "We’re really pleased we’ve been able to reinstate a stop at Beauly on our 18:33 Inverness to Wick service in our December timetable."
