A man is to stand trial later this year accused of causing assault to injury.

Prosecutors allege that Caleb Bain, now living in Perth, assaulted a male on February 17, 2022, at a property in Inverness.

It is alleged Bain (42) seized the man by the throat, struggled with him and caused his body to strike him to his injury.

The alleged offence is said to have happened at a property in Leachkin Road.

A plea of not guilty was entered at Inverness Sheriff Court and a trial date was set for September 16.
