Police Scotland are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death

Police are investigating the “unexplained” death of a man on a boat near Inverness.

The 82-year-old’s body was found on the vessel at Dochgarroch at around 12.25pm yesterday afternoon.

The cause of man’s death is so far a mystery, but there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.

A police spokesperson said: “Police Scotland was made aware of the death of an 82-year-old man found on a boat in the Dochgarroch area near Inverness around 12.25pm on Monday, May 4.

“The death is being treated as unexplained, although there are no apparent suspicious circumstances.”
