5 Hogmanay events happening in Inverness tonight

With the Red Hot Highland Fling cancelled for Hogmanay, venues across the city are stepping up to the mark to see in 2025.

Here are five events happening tonight.

1. Hogmanay Gala Dinner at Lochardil House Inverness

Having been acquired by Highland Coast Hotels earlier this year, all stops are being pulled out for the first new year at Lochardil.

Enjoy a four course meal, with Skara the ceilidh band until the wee hours.

Kenny McMillan, newly appointed managing director of Highland Coast Hotels said: “We are absolutely delighted to host our very first Hogmanay celebration at Lochardil House in Inverness!

“With 75 guests already joining us, it’s set to be an unforgettable night filled with celebration and dancing.

“Guests will be welcomed with bubbles on arrival followed by an indulgent in a 4-course feast with wine, dance the night away to Skara ceilidh band who are playing live, enjoy late-night stovies, and end the evening with carriages at 2 am – all for just £99 per person.

“This is a truly special moment for us at Highland Coast Hotels as we welcome our community and friends to ring in the New Year together.

“We still have some tickets available, so don’t miss your chance to be part of what promises to be a spectacular night showcasing Lochardil as Inverness’s ultimate destination for Hogmanay!”

2. Torridon at An Seòmar

Inverness’ newest music venue kicks off its Hogmanay celebrations at 7.30pm with Torridon taking to the stage.

Tickets are currently sold out but there is a waiting list, which can be found here.

A spokesperson said: “Our Hogmanay event with Torridon is now sold out, however our New Year’s Day event with Face The West still has tickets available on our website.

“Across our wider group we also have both Hogmanay and New Years Day ceilidhs in Gellions and Highlander which offer free entry on both days.”

3. Highland Fire Hogmanay - Clava Mains

Celebrate the new year at the Clava Mains with its Highland Fire Hogmanay event!

Involving a ceilidh its promised to be a night of craic and singalong alongside a healthy helping of stovies!

4. New Year’s Eve Big Shindig - Macdonald Drumossie Hotel

Start your evening with a glass of bubbly and canape reception followed by a four-course gala dinner and artisan cheese board.

Slinky, a sizzling five-piece band, will make sure you party all the way to the bells and beyond. They’ll have the dance floor full with their cracking ceilidh music and then keep the energy high with hits to make this Hogmanay party go with a bang!

5. Hootananny’s Live Music Line up

Walk in’s are welcome at Hoots, with a variety of live music on throughout the night.

Expect dancing and a good old knees-up with Northward leading the tunes.
