Man arrested after ‘serious sexual assault’ on young woman in South Kessock area of Inverness





A 44-year-old man has been arrested after a serious sexual assault on a young woman in Inverness.

There has been a heavy police presence at a street in the city’s South Kessock area since yesterday evening with officers carrying out door-to-door enquiries.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5.10pm on Thursday, 19 June, 2025 we received a report of a serious sexual assault of a 23-year-old woman within a property in Inverness.

"A 44-year-old man has been arrested in connection and enquiries are ongoing."
