An Inverness man has been fined £300 after admitting being in the company of a woman, in breach of a bail condition.

Inverness Sheriff Court was told that Connor Mackay (20) of Eildon House, High Street, was seen by police in Anderson Street with the female on May 12.

Fiscal depute Robert Weir said when he was arrested and searched, the woman’s house keys were found in his pocket.

Defence solicitor Shahid Latif said that his client had met the woman in the street, she had thrown her house keys to him and invited him in. “He declined and was going to hand them back to her,” he added.
