Inverness 24-year-old charged with attempted murder and threatening to fire bomb Dingwall Police Station
A 24-year-old man has appeared in private at Inverness Sheriff Court accused of the attempted murder of his partner or ex-partner.
Josh Mclaren, from Inverness, was represented by local solicitor John MacColl who made no plea on his client's behalf. McLaren was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
He faced three charges - one of engaging in abusive behaviour towards the woman and uttering threats of violence between January 1, 2025 and May 28, 2025.
It is also alleged that on a number of occasions between those dates, he seized her by the throat to her injury, danger of her life and did attempted to murder her.
A third charge states that Mclaren behaved in a threatening manner between February 1 and February 28, 2025, uttered threats of violence and threatened to fire bomb Dingwall Police Station.
McLaren will appear again within eight days.
