The oldest entry to date is a 1925 Morris Oxford. Other head-turners include a Jaguar XK120 which once raced on the Scottish circuits in the early 1950s and a wide variety of Fords from the 1980s and 90s.
Dingwall Auction Mart is the gathering place at 10am, after which there’s a scenic drive to Fortrose via Black Isle side roads.
Vehicles then park up in the King George V playing field for the afternoon.
Organisers say there will be a large number of stalls. The Norcon pipe band will play throughout the afternoon.
The 20th running of the popular Black Isle event is expected to attract a good crowd.
The Fortrose leg of the event runs from 1pm to 4pm.
The first Classic Vehicle Rally was held in the Royal Burgh of Fortrose in August 2003. The rally was organised in conjunction with the local community council and under the banner of the Highland Classic Motor Club, and was organised at short notice so there were less than two weeks of planning.
This resulted in a fine display of over 20 classic vehicles on the day.
Since then the rally has gone from strength to strength and been held every year since, with the exception of 2020 and 2021 when pandemic restrictions were in place.
The event has a Facebook page for updates.
