Inverness prisoner assault left cellmate unconscious
Two Inverness prisoners fell out as one kept the other awake at night in the cell they shared.
But it was lights out for the annoying cellmate on January 10 this year when 42-year-old Owen Grant punched him once in the face, knocking the man unconscious and leaving his victim with a deep cut to his face and cheek.
It needed 15 stitches for the 6cm long wound.

Grant appeared by video link at Inverness Sheriff Court and admitted a charge of assault to severe injury.
Fiscal depute Emily Hood told the court that Grant had been offered a cup of coffee just before the assault.
Ms Hood added that Grant then apologised for the assault and made the casualty a cup of coffee after he regained consciousness.
Defending, Mark Robbins told Sheriff Eilidh Macdonald: "His cellmate was acting erratically and talking to himself. My client asked for a move but this was not possible.
"On the day he punched him, it was the result of a build up of pressure and he was concerned that he had a kettle of boiling water in his hand. He apologises for his behaviour."
Mr Robbins added that his client was on remand to stand trial in May next year.
Sheriff Macdonald jailed Grant for 10 months, backdated to September 26 due to a record of "violent offending".
