£108k already spent on Inverness riverside artwork – which hasn't been built yet

CASH-STRAPPED Highland Council has already spent more than £100,000 on controversial artwork plans for the River Ness.

And that money will go down the drain if councillors bow to public opinion and reject the My Ness project.

It comes on top of £85,000 wasted on the Tilting Pier which was abandoned in 2016 after vocal opposition.

A leading councillor today blasted the council for wasting such a huge sum of public money – cash it cannot afford.
