The new episode of Northern Bibliosphere features history-lover and author Maggie Craig.

"If I was being fae, in a good Highland manner, I would say that I have probably lived a previous life in the 18th century - I have always been drawn to the 18th century!"

Maggie Craig is the celebrated author of Damn’ Rebel Bitches: The Women of the ’45. The book is celebrating its 25th anniversary and, together with its companion Bare Arsed Banditti: The Men of the ’45,, is being published with a brand new cover and in a new fully-referenced edition.

In this episode of Northern Bibliosphere, we sit and talk to Maggie about her passion for history, her past as a travel guide, tea and candles and her new projects.

Her works include historical novels such as Edinburgh-based Gathering Storm and One Sweet Moment and the Glasgow and Clydebank sagas including The River Flows On and When the Lights Come On Again. Her latest non-fiction work is One Week in April: The Scottish Radical Rising of 1820.
