SUTHERLAND - William George Mackenzie (Edinburgh). It is with great sadness we announce that William George Mackenzie Sutherland (Former Chief Constable, Lothian and Borders Police) passed away on 30th May, 2022, at St John's Hospital Livingston. He was a devoted husband to his wife Jennie, and loving father to his daughters Anne and Alison. A passionate Scotsman who loved the mountains, he will be very much missed by all his family and friends. The funeral will take place at Balerno Parish Church, Edinburgh at 1pm on Monday, 20th June, 2022, to which all friends and family are warmly invited.
