The man went on a robbery rampage for three months last summer wielding a baseball bat, hammer and a screwdriver to threaten four of his victims.
Inverness Sheriff Court heard the man “had been a more infrequent visitor to court since 2019 after staying off the drink”.
He also threw some food at a betting shop employee.
He also admitted grabbing her leg and pulling her off a bed.
“No excuse can be offered for behaviour as abhorrent as this,” defence solicitor tells Inverness Sheriff Court.
Alcohol, food and other items were taken from a number of Inverness shops.
The offence happened just two days after the 19-year-old passed his driving test.
