Clach welcome Formartine in Scottish Cup

Written byby Graham Linton

Scots Cup logoCLACH have another home tie against Highland League opposition following the second round draw for this season’s William Hill Scottish Cup.

Formartine United will be the visitors to Grant Street Park with the game scheduled to take place on Saturday 29th September.

The Lilywhites, who overcame Lossiemouth in the previous round, will take great encouragement from their recent record against Fomartine in the league.

In November last year, Clach drew 1-1 with United at North Lodge Park, before defeating them 2-0 at home in March.

Meanwhile, Nairn County’s prize for making it past Preston Athletic in the first round of the competition is a tie against Scottish League opposition at the end of next month.

Third Division Clyde will be the Wee County’s opponents — the second year in a row they will have faced a team from a higher level having went out of last year’s tournament to Peterhead.
