DEREK Adams is expected to conclude his dealings in the summer transfer market once he brings in another two new faces.

It has been a busy week for the Ross County manager with Gary Miller, Paul Di Giacomo and the former Caley Thistle duo of Iain Vigurs and Garry Wood all moving to Victoria Park.

Adams, however, is hoping to complete the signing of a Scottish-based midfielder over the next 24-48 hours with speculation that it could be Clyde's Stuart Kettlewell.

Should the deal go through then Adams will then turn his attention to a goalkeeper as he looks to find a replacement for Derek Soutar, who is expected to leave the club after his contract expired.

"I'm hopeful that we'll make a fifth signing very soon," he added. "If that goes ahead then I would only be looking to bring in a goalkeeper and that would be our last signing.

"I'm very happy with the calibre of player we've brought in so far.

"There has been plenty of hard work going on behind the scenes, but it's paid off and I believe the guys we have signed are all very promising players."

Adams is especially delighted to have secured the services of Vigurs and Wood on one-year contracts after the were given free transfers by Inverness following the club's relegation to Division One.

Both players were given their first-team opportunity by former Caley Thistle boss Craig Brewster, who is expected to take up the role of assistant manager at County once he returns from holiday.

Adams did have a brief conversation with Brewster about both players, but had seen enough of the pair himself to convince him they would only enhance the existing squad at Dingwall.

"I spoke to Craig, but not for long as he's currently away on holiday," he stated. "However, he told me they are two players with potential that could only add to the squad. However, I've seen the two of them play a number of times and I'm sure their SPL experience will help them to do well in Division One next season."

* Ross County will welcome Montrose to Victoria Park for their first round CIS Cup tie, which is set to take place on Saturday 1st August.
