ENGINEERS are working to repair a street lighting fault on Nairn Bridge.
The crossing that takes A96 traffic to the east of the town centre is currently without any lighting.
Scottish and Southern Energy said its staff failed to get to the bottom of the problem on Friday.
A spokeswoman said specialists would meet with Bear Scotland staff on the bridge tomorrow to try to resolve the issue.
She added: “We will rectify this as soon as possible. This is something that we are looking at as a matter of priority. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
Nairn Suburban community councillor, Dr Alastair Noble, said it was important that the street lights were reinstated as quickly as possible. He added: “This needs to be fixed. It is a dangerous road, it is very busy with traffic.”
