AN Inverness osteopath has been presented with a trophy won by the Highland Wildcats in recognition for his contribution during the youth side’s national championship winning season.

Claudio Correa, who runs Osteocentra in Ardross Street, was delighted to accept the Bernard Bradley Memorial Trophy which was given to the city club by British American Football Referees’ Association for winning the 25th annual Britbowl UK championships, earlier this year.

His voluntary work with the Wildcats helped players throughout the club overcome injuries, which may have otherwise prevented them from playing.

“I enjoyed working with the team and was delighted to hear that they wanted to present me with a hard earned trophy,” said Correa, who is originally from Brazil.

“I am pleased that they feel my work has helped them to achieve their goals but I really feel that it is also down to the players, when they are my patients, to make their treatment work for them.

“They were all very good at following instructions and making sure they did exercises I gave them between treatments to really get the full affect of their rehabilitation.”

Correa, who has been involved with Inverness Blitz which runs the Wildcats, has provided free weekly appointments to players since 2006.
