CLACHNACUDDIN finish off their Highland League campaign tomorrow when they are set to take on Lossiemouth at Grant Street Park.

The Lilywhites will finish the season second bottom of the table as they can’t catch Deveronvale in 16th place who have moved five points clear.

Strathspey Thistle will finish bottom of the Highland League but will not face a relegation play-off after Lochee United can no longer win the Midlands League and no other team in the division being eligible for promotion.

Clach have completed some business before the end of the season with youngster Jamie Young agreeing a two-year contract with the club after breaking into the first team.

Manager Conor Gethins was delighted to tie up his signature.

Conor Gethins had the following to say on the deal "When i first saw Jamie he was playing against Balloan for the 18s. Immediately I saw a leader, a talker and at such a young age of 17 I saw a player that in my eyes was ready for a step up.

“We eventually took him into training and he didn't look out of place. A few weeks later I took a gamble on him, baptism of fire so to speak, straight in against Brechin at home and up against a 29 goal Grady McGrath, he dealt with him very well and again the following week against in my eyes the best striker in the league currently Jordan Macrae.

“So to sign him permanently was a no brainer. He has a bright future and wee look forward to helping develop him.”
