AN Inverness opticians hosted a bake sale in store as part of the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

The team at Specsavers whisked up their very best home bakes and show stoppers to encourage donations from generous sweet-toothed customers.

Thanks to their efforts a total of £208 was raised on the day.

Store director Andy Carr said: “We are always keen to go the extra mile and help charitable causes.

“We’ve raised a superb sum for a very worthwhile cause and it was a great excuse for an afternoon sugar rush.

“I’d like to thank the team for their fantastic baking efforts and everyone who visited us on the day – your contributions were greatly appreciated.”
