Members of the community in Nairnshire are being invited to an event which will see the Cabinet Secretary for Transport Fiona Hyslop in attendance.

Last week, The Inverness Courier announced a forthcoming event on May 31 as part of our ongoing Build The Bypass campaign, which aims to bring together the Scottish Government, local residents, business leaders and interest groups.

The event will cover the Nairn Bypass and A96 dualling between Inverness and Auldern. As well as a panel discussion including Cabinet Secretary for Transport, Fiona Hyslop, there will be an opportunity for questions from the audience.

Anyone wishing to attend can do so by registering on the dedicated Eventbrite page for the Inverness Courier - Nairnshire Edition's Build The Bypass Event via this link.

You can submit a question in advance to us via newsdesk@hnmedia.co.uk using the subject line “Bypass Event Question” by Friday, May 17.

When: Friday, May 31, 6.30pm for 7pm start

Where: Nairn United reformed Church
