Man (29) arrested and charged with attempted murder after disturbance in Inverness

A man was arrested in connection with an incident which took place on Friday.

Police have confirmed that a 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder after a disturbance in Inverness left another man in hospital on Friday afternoon.

He will appear at Inverness Sherriff Court tomorrow.

The incident, which took place at a property on Dunabban Road, Inverness, was reported soon after 4pm on Friday.

A 47-year-old man was transferred to hospital for treatment after emergency services were called.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.10pm on Friday, 17 May, 2024 we were called to a report of a disturbance at a property on Dunabban Road, Inverness.

“Emergency services attended and a 47-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.

“A 29-year-old man was arrested and charged with attempted murder in connection with the incident and is due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Monday, May 20.”
