EIGHT people have appeared in court charged with drug dealing offences following a police operation in the city last weekend.

Cocaine worth an estimated street value of £50,000 was seized by Northern Constabulary as part of Operation Amuse - a long-term operation to combat class A drugs in the Highlands - as well as around £50,000 in cash.
Calum Stuart (31), of Dovecote Park, Culloden, Jamie King (33), of Boswell Road, Paul Hurry (28), of Creag Dubh Terrace, Thomas Inglis (38), of Kenneth Street, Rebecca Fraser (30), of Creag Dubh Terrace, and Fiona Murray (22), of Broadstone Park, are accused of supplying cocaine, ecstasy and cannabis at various locations in the city between February 2003 and April 2008.
Hurry, King and Fraser are also accused of having various sums of money, allegedly proceeds of crime.
King is also accused of illegally having a CS spray.
Darryl Handford (22), of St Valery Avenue, is accused of supplying cannabis only, whilst Jacqueline Robertson (47), of Mackintosh Road, is accused of possessing and supplying cannabis resin in Inverness.
Appearing from custody on Monday, the five men and three women made no plea or declaration and were committed for further examination.
Hurry and King were remanded in custody and the others released on bail.
