Places of historical interest on the walk include the Clootie Well, Prisoner’s Stone, Doocot and Stables. The event, led by Highland Council’s Countryside Rangers on Wednesday 2nd April, will finish with tea and biscuits in Culloden House.
John Orr, countryside ranger for Inverness East and Nairn said: "This is a fascinating walk through Culloden's past and this year there will be even more characters to meet which should really bring the rich history of this area to life. The walk starts outside Culloden House and winds its way up through Culloden woods with a few surprises on the way."
The walk, which starts at 2pm and runs until 5pm, is suitable for individual adults and family groups. It costs £4 for adults and £2 for children and all places must be pre-booked by telephoning 01463 710786.
