Sir, Inverness where were you?

advertising

Lightnin' Willie and the Poor Boys appearance on Thursday 6th August was one of the best gigs you will see in this city. And Eden Court was little more than a quarter full! This was full-on blues that really rocked. Maybe The Ironworks would have been a better venue.

Well done to Eden Court for bringing Willie and the Poor Boys north, but are they not also responsible for promotion? Other than at the venue itself (and one piece in The Inverness Courier) I didn't see anything.

Why not invite some underprivileged young/old people in free for a show like this if tickets aren't selling? It would add to the atmosphere, and a fuller house would show more respect to an artist of Willie's standing. Let's hope Lightnin' does strike twice in Inverness. And next time lets pack the house.
