WITH those wide eyes, new hairstyle and retro shift dress, Inverness actress Karen Gillan shows she is the image of ‘60s model Jean Shrimpton in this pose for a new TV drama.

Twenty-four-year-old Ms Gillan — Amy Pond in Dr Who — looks pretty as a picture in this snap to promote her latest role of "The Shrimp" in the BBC Four programme We’ll Take Manhattan which is scheduled to run in January.

With her is co-star, Aneurin Barnard who plays photographer David Bailey. Bailey was once engaged to Shrimpton, an icon of the Swinging 60s and considered to be one of the world’s first supermodels.
