The smooth new surface on Lochalsh Road.

The poor surface on one of Inverness's busiest roads was featured in the column way back at the start of the year after numerous complaints from readers.

The popular route has now been relaid.

Also featured in the column is graffiti which has sprung up below one of the city's landmark bridges.

Maxwell Drive: no sign at the western end of the street. Get It Sorted this week features two problems in Dalneigh and Castle Stuart. One of our readers, a new father, got in touch to say that well wishers visiting his family to see the new arrival were struggling to find the house because there was no street sign. The column was also contacted about faded lines at a junction near the busy A96 trunk road.

Sorted: the previously obscured interchange sign. In this week's Get It Sorted we feature two "sorteds" in Inverness. The sightlines of a major direction sign passed by thousands of cars every week had been obscured until it had been highlighted in the column. We also have details of a fixed drain cover in Holm.

The Hill Street sign. In this week's Get it Sorted we feature a "sick" street sign in the Crown district of Inverness! We also feature a "sorted" in a busy road junction in the Longman Industrial Estate. Another problem which was fixed in Balloch is also included.

The obscured Raigmore Interchange sign. In this week's Get It Sorted! column it is signs all the way. We feature a key road sign which is passed by thousands of motorists every week - but a large number of them are currently unable to read all the directions. We also return to highlight a Dalneigh sign which was in the column more than a year ago but its continued scruffy appearance has left residents exasperated.
