Expo homes in running for design awards

THE shortlist for Scotland's oldest design awards scheme has been announced.

Two homes built as part of the Scottish Housing Expo at Milton of Leys have made the shortlist for the 2011 Saltire Society Housing Design Awards.

They include The Passive House Terrace, by HLM Architects, shortlisted in the small scale housing development category, and The Secret Garden, by Rural Design, which has been shortlisted in the private dwelling, new build category.

The awards will be announced at a ceremony at the Point Hotel, Edinburgh on 23rd November.

The Saltire Society Housing Awards recognise, reward and celebrate the best new housing and neighbourhoods in Scotland.
