Special ARCHIE manicures were among a range of beauty treatments offered by students in Inverness College’s beauty department who have raised about £1800 for the appeal.
The event was organised by 25 students on the HNC beauty therapy course who also undertook a 20km sponsored walk along the Caledonian Canal.
Other treatments included Indian head massages, file and polish of fingers and toes and make-up. Teas and coffees plus home baking were also offered.
Student Susan Ross said there had been a steady flow of people, including students and staff, as well as members of the public who had called into the deparment at the Longman Road campus.
"It was good practice for the students as well as raising money for a good cause," she said. "We need to practice on people all the time."
